Documents
A document is held here, and a held document is not evidence
Nothing here has been opened, read or checked for safety. What this platform can do is give a file back and show that the bytes are the ones you handed over.
Handing over a document
Choosing what kind of thing a document is, and giving this platform the file.
The kind is the only thing about a document that shows on your record, so it is chosen first. It can be changed before the file is handed over, and not afterwards.
Documents you hand over
Every document here is in the same state, and this build has no other one to put it in: held, and not counted as evidence. Nothing here has been checked for safety, and what has not been checked is not treated as evidence. That is a fact about the platform rather than about any document on this page.
Your record holds things you have written, and no file has been handed over.
Choose what kind of thing a document is, then hand the file over. It will be held from that moment and you will be able to download it again.
Where the rest of your record is
What handing over a document does to the record it sits beside.
Handing over a document also adds a line to your record saying you added something of that kind. That line is not evidence either, and for the same reason: nothing has been checked. Nothing you have written anywhere else is affected by it.
Open your evidenceWhat this page does not tell you
It has not checked your file for anything.Nothing here has been opened, scanned or read. The platform measures the bytes it was given and records what your device called them, and does neither to find out whether a file is safe or is what it says it is.
It does not say what is inside a document, or who issued it.Nothing in this platform reads a name, an awarding body or a date out of a file. Where facts like that are on your record, you or somebody else put them there separately.
It is not somewhere to keep your only copy of something.A document here is held encrypted and only this platform can produce it, so erasing your record destroys it in every copy, everywhere. That is what erasure is for, and it is why this is not a backup. Keep your own.
Nothing here is arranged, and nothing leads. The order is the one your record already holds. Nothing has been moved or put first, and no document is marked as the one to look at.
You cannot take a document back from here. This workspace has no way to remove a file it is holding. Erasing what the platform holds about you is handled where the rest of your record is, and cannot be started here.
It does not record that a document left.Downloading a file from here writes nothing. The platform keeps a record of what has been done to your record, and a document leaving is not written into it — so it cannot tell you whether a copy has ever left.
